Spring Cleanup in Manistee County

Stick and debris removal, dead foliage, light dethatch, bed edging — the work that gets your lawn ready for mowing season.

Spring cleanup is the reset button between winter and mowing season. Northern Michigan lawns come out of the snow with sticks, leaves the wind missed in November, dead foliage matted against fences, and a layer of dead grass that wants to choke out the green coming through.

We work the whole property — front, sides, back, beds. By the time we're done, the lawn is ready for its first mow and you're not still finding sticks in August.

What's included

  • Stick and branch removal from the entire property
  • Pickup of leaves and debris missed in fall
  • Dead foliage and stalks cleared from beds and fence lines
  • Light dethatch where lawns are visibly matted
  • Bed edges cut crisp for the season
  • Hauled and dumped — no piles at the curb

How it works

  1. 1

    Quote by property tier

Tier-based flat pricing keyed to lot size — you see the number before you commit.

  2. 2

Schedule for late April or May

Bookings fill up. Earlier is better; we run cleanups in route waves so we can hit a neighborhood efficiently.

  3. 3

    Full-property pass

Sticks, debris, dead foliage, dethatch where needed, bed edges. We work the whole property, not just the front.

  4. 4

    Haul and dump

Everything goes — no piles at the curb. Dump fees are included in tier 1–3 pricing; tier 4–5 includes a flat dump-fee allowance.

Who this is for

  • Year-round homeowners coming out of winter
  • Cottage owners opening up for the season
  • Property managers prepping rental inventory before peak season
  • New homeowners inheriting a property they haven't worked yet

What makes our spring cleanup different

  • Flat per-property pricing — no hourly surprises
  • Done before your first scheduled mow so the lawn looks intentional from day one
  • Hauled, not piled at the curb

Frequently asked

  • When should I book my spring cleanup?

Late March through April is ideal. Cottage owners often book in February for an April visit. By mid-May, the schedule is usually full.

  • What's included in a spring cleanup?

Stick and debris removal, dead foliage, light dethatch where lawns are matted, bed edging, and haul-away. Mulch installation is a separate service if you want fresh beds.

  • Do I get a price before you start?

Yes — flat tier-based pricing, quoted up front. No hourly clock.

  • Can spring cleanup be bundled with weekly mowing?

Yes, and it usually saves time. We can do the cleanup as the first visit of the season and roll into weekly mowing from there.
